Harmon Delmond

Harmon Delmond was the founder of The Republic of Delmond and a hero to the Sudorite people, and is also well respected among the Heldorian northmen. Born north of The Frozen Pass, he and his community struggled to survive in the frozen wastes. When they weren’t struggling to feed themselves, they were fighting and repelling constant attacks from the were-beasts that roam the land.

By the time he was a young man, Harmon had longed a safe place for his people to settle down. But looking around, he saw no hope in continuing to fight against the impossible odds. It is said he challenged the Dominus of his clan so that he may take them out of the wastes, and head south. This was thought of as foolish, as the south at the time was teeming with monstrous reptilian creatures and was arguably more dangerous than the were-beasts that their people at least understood and were familiar with. But Harmon had a plan. He knew that if he could unite the various clans throughout the wastes, then they would have a chance to make a home for themselves.

Over the next several years, Harmon would convince (sometimes by force) every clan in the region to fight by his side in a war to settle territory in the south, eventually defeating the Scale-Kin and their monstrous guardians, the Lyzan, ultimately claiming The Azure Coast as their own.
